Perfectible
dans le top niveau perf applicative,
mais plutôt à la rue en jeu,
mais ils consomment nettement moins
ça sera sans doute mieux dans les pc portables

Mobile System on a Chip (SoC) with DRAM on the package (like Apple Silicon)
Manufacturing and packaging by TSMC, only the “base tile” as a connecting link comes from Intel
8 cores: 4 performance cores (P-cores) and 4 efficiency cores (E-cores)
P-Cores: Lion Cove, +14% IPC vs. Raptor Cove (14th Gen Core)
E-cores: Skymont, +2% IPC vs. Raptor Cove (14th Gen Core), +68% IPC vs. Meteor Lake (LPE)
The cores will be used by Arrow Lake (Core Ultra 200 in the desktop) and from 2025 Xeon
iGPU: Premiere for Xe2 (i.e. used in Battlemage)
NPU with 48 TOPS for Windows Copilot+
+30% en IPC
pas contre grosse mesquinerie, certains CPU sont limités à 16Go de RAM merveilleux ...
sans compter de la RAM soudée !!
the overall construct is made up of various chips (tiles) on a common package, which for the first time also contains the DRAM -
All Core Ultra 200Vs always use LPDDR5X memory – soldered onto the package. The process is simple: if the model number ends with 6V, 16 GB are installed on the package. If the number ends with 8V, it is always 32GB LPDDR5X-8533.

I’m not a big one on posting first-party benchmark results, but the high-level overview from Intel was this:
At 3.3 GHz, 12900K is +19% better in Single Thread Performance over the 11900K
Over the 11900K, the 12900K is +19% better at 1080p High with RTX 3090
Over the 11900K, the 12900K gets +84% better fps when concurrently streaming
Over the 11900K, the 12900K is +22-100% better in content creation (Adobe)
Over the 11900K, the 12900K is +50% faster in BlenderMT at 241W (vs 250W)
Over the 11900K, the 12900K performs the same in BlenderMT at only 65W (vs 250W)

At 45W, the multi-threaded performance of the chip is well sustainable and reasonable for this kind of device form-factor and cooling solution, but here it needs to be put into context,
particularly against the nearest competition,
which is AMD’s Ryzen 9 5980HS. In our benchmarks, both the Core i9-11980HK and the Ryzen 9 5980HS battle it out, sometimes with the Intel chip coming ahead, sometimes with the AMD chip leading the results.
The issue with this comparison though is that we’re comparing a 45W chip(intel) vs a 35W chip(amd),
and more often in compute heavy workloads such as rendering or encoding, the AMD chip comes ahead even though it has a lower TDP.

Intel claims up to 20% single-thread performance uplift with its new Golden Cove core design. We are not sure if the baseline for this claim is Rocket Lake or Tiger Lake though
Comet Lake-H in the form of the Core i7-10875H is slower in multi-core scenarios than the Ryzen 9 4900HS and requires significantly more electrical power.
