The next Assetto Corsa Rally update will bring three new contenders to the car list. A new engine sound teaser all but reveals the trio.
Furthermore, we have worked intensively on physics refactoring. This initiative serves short, medium, and long-term goals.
In the short term, we have successfully added and modified everything listed below in the changelog, most notably the bulldozing effect on gravel surfaces, which allows the tire to generate more effective grip that is true to life, and a retuning of all the surfaces and cars.
In the medium term, we will soon be able to reintroduce tire and brake thermal dynamics, tire wear, and more advanced suspension setups for rough surfaces. In the long term, thanks in part to a renewed collaboration with MegaRide, a highly specialized Italian company focused on advanced vehicle dynamics, tire simulation software, and tire testing, we will be able to further develop the tire model and vehicle dynamics.
As promised, ACR is a continuously evolving simulator with the goal of getting as close as possible to a real rally car, based on existing technologies.
